ITVoice News: The latest iPhone 6 can now be grabbed by enthusiast iPhone buyers in India, but at a whopping deal of Rs. 99,990. It is available on the Rediff shopping website, given that the gigantic amount is for 16 GB champagne gold version of iPhone 6.
As per the BGR report, the 16 GB iphone 6 is available for Rs 120,000 while 64 GB variant is available for Rs 140,000.
As far as the date of release is concerned, Apple has removed all the details related to it from its website after claiming it to be releasing on 17 October. Earlier, they had mentioned 26 September as the release date on their website.
Apple had announced that it sold off 10 million iPhones during the first weekend after its launch in 10 countries. It drew over 4 million pre-orders on its first day of sale.
In India, price of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have even dropped further. The16 GB variant of iPhone 5C is now available for around Rs. 35000 on some retail websites. In US iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, contract free version are available for around $649 (approx Rs 39,500) for 16GB and goes up to $849 (Rs 51,600) for 128GB.
Though it is expected that after the official launch, iPhone 6 would be available for Rs. 50,000 and iPhone 6 Plus may even cross Rs. 60,000 bracket in India. The asking rate for the two versions are expected to remain high until new devices come in market.
For Indian users, they will probably have to shell off huge sum from their pockets to grab the smartphone before the official launch in the country.
