The main highlights of the event were the new A4 range of MFP’S & Printers which have been recently launched in India. The products showcased at the event were packed with the user friendly features like print from USB without the need of a Laptop& standard document processor* *(In select models). The products showcased were unique as they work on separate drum and toner technology which results in extremely low running cost. Also, these products are manufacturing the using the patented technology of Kyocera, which is the Amorphous Silicon drum resulting in highest drum life in the category.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr K. Swetharanyan, Managing Director -Kyocera Document Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We face global environmental problems in which each person is required to act responsibly on a local scale. It was natural that in 1992 Kyocera, a company founded in 1959 with its continuing mission of combining IT development, innovation and ecology, would become the first worldwide to develop a cartridge-free system for laser printers. Our ECOSYS technology has a direct and wide ranging impact on ecology. ECOSYS technology uses patented amorphous-silicon drum and other long-life components, and as a result, requires only one consumable – the toner itself, no expensive cartridge system. However, ECOSYS is more than just mechanics, it is a principle considered from aenvironmentally rugged concept”.
The whole Kyocera marketing team headed by Mr Lalit Chaturvedi was there to demonstrate the entire range of products. People poured in with a lot of enthusiasm and inputs. The place was overcrowded as everyone wanted to understand the uniqueness of the KYOCERA products. People from Delhi and even surrounding areas visited the KYOCERA kiosk and even placed spot orders as there was an attractive scheme for the day.
KYOCERA kept the crowds interested by offering fancy wireless mouse to people who registered. The KYOCERA team also created had a fun activity. People passing by were given the option of getting their pictures clicked with a Japanese Samurai Cut-out and a get an instant Color printout in a beautiful frame on the spot.People were also encouraged to like the KYOCERA facebook page for an amazing KYOCERA Hi-tech keychain. This entire event was a huge success and now KYOCERA is planning to have several more such IT-Events in all the major metros.
Kyocera’s ECOSYS Device’s Additional benefits
The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of Kyocera’s ECOSYS devices is invariably the lowest in their class. TCO includes all costs: direct, such as the purchase price and operating costs per page and indirect, including maintenance, replacement of consumables, use of print media, administration of the machine and the costs of energy to power the Printers. In organisations where a lot of material is printed or copied the cost of consumables can rise dramatically, particularly where relatively expensive cartridges containing the drum, developer and toner has to be thrown away and replaced frequently. Kyocera’s ECOSYS technology significantly reduces these costs: cartridge-free printing means virtually no replacement costs for these expensive parts.
