Domestic smartphone brand Josh Mobiles has expanded its product portfolio by launching a new feature phone. Dubbed Mint, the handset is priced at Rs 995 and is specifically aimed at users in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. It’s available in Black and White colour variants.
As per the company, Josh Mobiles Mint has a long battery life ‘paired with right entertainment value.’ The feature phone features a curved polished body and has a 1.8-inch screen. It also includes a VGA resolution rear camera.
The dual-SIM feature phone comes with call recording facility along with GPRS, FM Radio and Bluetooth. It has 8GB of internal storage for storing media and files.
Back in July this year, Josh Mobiles launched its Power Plus feature phone. Powered by a 2,250mAh battery, the phone costs the same as the Mint – Rs 995. The dual-SIM capable Power Plus has a 1.8-inch QVGA display and supports microSD cards of up to 8GB in size. It even has a VGA camera. The company claims that the handset can deliver up to 5-6 hours of talktime and up to 5 days of standby time.
Connectivity options and other features of Power Plus include GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. Like the Mint, the Power Plus comes in Black and White colour options.
According to research firm CMR, mobile handset shipments this year are estimated to touch 265 million, with feature phones forming about 59% of the overall market.
