The upcoming Android smartphone could compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Grand.
Karbonn Mobile is planning to come up with an Android-based smartphone offering in India. According to reports, the new smartphone, called Titanium S6, will be launched in July, sporting a full HD display. While the exact price of the phone is not known yet, reports suggest that it will be priced between Rs 19,000-20,000, alongside other smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Grand etc. In addition, the date of release for the new Titanium S6 is also not known.
The phone is expected to challenge existing smartphones with a quad-core processor, a 13 mega pixel rear camera and the Android 4.2 operating system with stylus support. It would most probably be fitted with a 5 inch display LCD as well. The phone will be a direct competitor for the Micromax Canvas 4, which is also expected to hit the stores in July. It will add to Karbonn’s existing portfolio of, which includes the Titanium S1 and S5
The Titanium S6 falls under the affordable full-HD smartphone category, which includes the Micromax Canvas 2 and the Canvas HD. India has recently had a number of full-HD offerings in this category, including the Wickedleak Wammy Passion Z and the Lemon A4. Both these phones are available in the Rs 15,000-18,000 range.
