Khan Academy Appoints Sandeep Bapna As India Country Manager

Increases focus on enabling access to personalised learning solutions for students in India

Khan Academy, a non-profit organisation that offers free, khan-Academypersonalised learning solutions to students across ages, announced the appointment of Sandeep Bapna as the India Country Manager. In this role, he will be spearheading the organisation’s operations in India and creating scalable opportunities to deliver free and accessible quality education for all.

Khan Academy’s online platform contains practice exercises, instructional videos, dashboard analytics and teacher tools which empower learners in and outside of the classroom to study at their own pace.

Sandeep joins Khan Academy with prior experience of founding and leading an EdTech start-up, Engrami, which created communities for online learners in over 80 countries. Sandeep has also worked with the International Finance Corporation for 10 years where he led investments across sectors such as life-sciences, automotive, agribusiness and services sectors for various emerging markets.

As the India Country Manager, Sandeep will be responsible for increasing awareness, reach, usage and ultimately, impact to learners. Specifically, he will focus on:
· Understanding India’s education and technology landscape and developing a strategic plan for increased engagement
· Managing research, outreach and relations with major educational companies, telecommunications companies, web portals, corporations, foundations and government
