Leader in print and enterprise content management Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia (BSA) has launched its JETVARNISH 3DS in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam that provides tactile impact on printed brochures, point-of-purchase materials, packaging and other communication collaterals.
Designed to be highly accurate and fast, the JETVARNISH 3DS can turn regular print jobs into visually impactful jobs with spot UV of different microns and features production speeds up to 2,300 sheets an hour. With the ability to varnish up to 100 microns for 3D raised effects and tactile finishes, the JETVARNISH 3DS can transform 2D flat surfaces into textured experiences for more vivid and sensory communication.
The JETVARNISH 3DS is also equipped with iFOIL S technology which enables print producers to perform hot foil stamping in-house. Through a revolutionary digital process, films and dies are eliminated, enabling users to produce hot foil stamping and embossing jobs from one to thousands of sheets with little set-up.
Applications for Everyone The JETVARNISH 3DS is aimed at helping print providers expand their services to include spot UV and 3D tactile varnishing capabilities while enjoying powerful inkjet productivity and efficiency.
The benefits of this device will be experienced by a variety of print providers, such as producers of book covers and makers of personalised gifts. In addition, a significant application is its ability to print books in braille that are long-lasting and easier to read for the visually challenged.
“This JETVARNISH 3DS gives our print partners new opportunities to create new markets and provide higher value services to their customers,” said Jonathan Yeo, General Manager, Regional Headquarters Konica Minolta BSA. “The 3D enhanced and embossed capabilities of the device significantly increase the impact of print in a wide variety of applications from digital print providers to commercial printers and creative practitioners.”
