Apple’s upcoming series of product launches is generating anticipation, but a recent report suggests a potential delay for certain devices.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman provided insights on the new MacBooks in his Power On newsletter, outlining expectations for Apple’s events in September and October.
While the iPhone is expected to receive significant attention, the M3 MacBooks might only be introduced through a simple press release. Gurman noted that the event’s structure would resemble the iPhone 14 launch, with prerecorded online videos and a physical event at Apple’s headquarters.
A separate launch is anticipated in October, likely for the first M3 Macs, but it remains unclear if it will be a formal event. Based on this information, even an October release might not be set in stone.
Historically, Apple hasn’t introduced M2-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models in standalone events. Additionally, the company has skipped October launch events in previous years. Given this pattern, it’s conceivable that Apple might opt for a similar approach with the forthcoming M3 MacBooks.
