LG on Wednesday announced a variant of the recently launched mid-range curved LG Spirit smartphone in Korea, dubbed the LG Volt.

Priced at KRW 200,000 (approximately Rs. 11,400), the LG Volt is identical to the LG Spirit smartphone, except that it packs a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor.

During the initial unveiling of LG Spirit in February, LG had said that the smartphone will come in two processor variants based on the market – 1.2GHz quad-core processor or 1.3GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. Notably, the LG Spirit smartphone in India was launched with 1.3GHz processor last month at Rs. 14,250.

As per specifications, the single-SIM LG Volt runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution display with pixel density of 312ppi. The display is curved slightly, with a 3000mm radius curvature.

As mentioned, the LG Volt is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It packs an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash, and a 1-megapixel front facing camera. The 8GB of inbuilt storage on Volt is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the LG Volt include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC and Micro-USB. The handset measure 133.25×66.12×9.95mm, weighs 119 grams, and is backed by a 2100mAh removable battery.

To recall, the LG Spirit was first introduced ahead of MWC 2015 alongside three other mid-range smartphones – LG Joy, LG Leon, and LG Magna. The LG Magna also features a slightly curved display.
