The launch of a new smartphone, the Lava Yuva 2 Pro, has been revealed by local mobile phone manufacturer Lava. The smartphone is released at a time when consumers’ interest in less expensive devices with 4G connectivity is at an all-time low and more people are ostensibly seeking to purchase more expensive devices with 5G connectivity. The Lava Yuva 2 Pro is being introduced, and it boasts a glass back and premium design and construction. The glass back, the triangular rear camera module, and the flat side edges all give the phone an obvious resemblance to Apple’s “Pro” iPhone series, specifically the iPhone 14 Pro.
There is only one version of the Lava Yuva 2 Pro available at launch, and it has 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of Memory. The device is priced at Rs 7,999, and the company has confirmed that the device can be purchased beginning today across all multi-brand offline retail stores, and online e-commerce platforms including Lava’s own. It comes in three different colours: white, mauve, and green.
A 4GB RAM and 64GB storage MediaTek Helio G37 SoC run the Lava Yuva 2 Pro smartphone. Through a hybrid SIM and microSD card slot, the capacity can be increased by up to 256GB. A front 6.5-inch HD+ monitor with a waterdrop notch for the front camera is present.
The triple rear camera setup provides a 13MP main camera and two additional VGA cameras, but it is not clear as to what function do the two additional camera units serve. The smartphone has a 5MP face camera up front. The camera app that comes with it also has a “AI” option. The 5,000mAh battery on the device has no extra rapid charging capabilities, and the Android 12 operating system is said to be free of bloatware. Along with two years of security upgrades, Lava also guarantees an upgrade to Android 13 for the smartphone.
