Lenovo Announces Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air Rival, Air 13 Pro

Xiaomi launched its Mi Notebook Air, Lenovo too has Lenovounveiled its Air 13 Pro laptop. Lenovo Air 13 Pro laptop shares almost all the specifications as that of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air with a slight difference in RAM. The laptop also carries the same price tag as that of the 13.3-inch version of Mi Notebook Air.

The Lenovo Air 13 Pro is priced at CNY 4,999 and is up for pre orders on the company’s Chinese website. The price is likely to soar up to CNY 5,499 after the pre-sale.

The Air 13 Pro features a 13.3-inch IPS full-HD display and is powered by Intel Skylake Core i5/ Core i7 processors. It also includes 4GB RAM along with the 2GB NvidiaGeForce GTX940MX GDDR5 GPU. Housing 256GB of inbuilt SSD storage, the laptop is 1.48cm thick and weighs 1.29kg. There is also a fingerprint-recognition technology onboard.

Lenovo has not yet mentioned when it intends to launch the device outside China.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is the company’s first laptop ever. Running Windows 10, the Mi Notebook Air is available in two screen sizes — 13.3 inch and 12.5 inch, priced at RMB 4,999 (approximately Rs 50,000) and RMB 3,499 (around Rs 35,000) respectively.

The 13.3-inch version of the Mi Notebook Air comes with an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX dedicated GPU with 1GB GDDR5 RAM, making for an enhanced gaming experience. In addition, it also has 256GB PCIe solid-state drive (SSD) based storage with an additional free SSD slot for storage expansion. The Mi Notebook Air includes Xiaomi’s Mi Cloud Sync, a feature that allows users to sync their contacts, text messages, photos and notes to the Mi Cloud.
