ITVoice News: Lenovo has introduced its new Android tablet – S500, in India. As of now, the device is exclusively available on e-commerce website, Amazon India, in silver grey color for Rs 10,999.
Lenovo claims it to be India’s slimmest and lightest tablet. The 17.78-cm (7-inch) tablet is 7.9mm thick and weighs 246 gram. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz MesiaTek MT8389 quad-core processor with 3450mAh battery, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage capacity. However, the device does not support external microSD card but for the connectivity convenience it has a feature for USB on-the-go connectivity to connect microUSB port (or via adapter) equipped devices. It also supports Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth feature.
The tablet sports a 5MP rear camera AF, 1.6 MP front camera and it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is upgradable to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The OS is not the latest version of Android.
