Lenovo Yoga 730, Yoga 530 2-in-1 laptops with Alexa launched at MWC 2018
Many smartphone makers are showcasing their new products at the ongoing tech show MWC 2018, in Barcelona, Spain. Now, Lenovo has also joined in and has launched its new laptop models in its 2-in-1 Yoga series.
The company has introduced the Yoga 730 laptop in 13-inch and 15-inch variants and the 14-inch Yoga 530 laptop.The company adds, “ The new Windows 10-based convertibles feature modern designs, powerful laptop performance and tablet portability that have made the Lenovo Yoga an iconic premium laptop brand since it first pioneered the convertible form factor.”
Both laptops come with inbuilt Amazon Alexa support and is powered by Intel’s 8th gen processors. They come with optional Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics and full sized keyboards.
The new Yoga 730 laptops feature an Ultra-HD touchscreen display, while the Yoga 530 sports a full HD touchscreen display with thin bezels. They also come with support for Lenovo Active Pen 2 which is capable for writing and drawing with Windows Ink. The company has also incorporated fingerprint sensor through Windows Hello. The Yoga series harnesses the power of AI to give you intelligent assistance hands-free. With both Cortana and Alexa built-in, it offers more choice and recognizes voice commands from across the room.
The Lenovo Yoga 730 promises to deliver battery backup of 11.5 hours for the 13-inch model and 11 hours for the 15-inch variant. The company reveals that the laptops come with Rapid Charge technology which means that the users can have 2 hours of battery backup with 15 minutes of charging.
Coming to the price, the 13-inch Yoga 730 Lenovo Active Pen 2 included comes with a starting price tag of EUR 999 (roughly Rs 80,000) and will be available in the market from April this year. On the other hand, the 15-inch model with Active Pen 2 will be available in the market at a starting price tag of EUR 1,099 (roughly Rs 87,900). Lastly, the Lenovo Yoga 530 is priced at EUR 549 (roughly Rs 43,900) and will hit the market in June this year.
Along with the laptops, Lenovo also showcased a new trio of ‘ruggedized’ Lenovo 500e, 300e 2-in-1’s and 100e Chromebooks built for education. the 300e Chromebook features Lenovo Enhanced Touch technology that allows the use of everyday objects to interact with the screen and the 500e Chromebook provides an EMR Pen with Google’s innovative near lag-free algorithms for writing and sketching.
