Lenovo’s upcoming Moto G5 smartphone has been keeping the rumourmill churning for months now. The latest update on the device comes courtesy a post on Reddit that shows alleged image of Moto G5 along with specifications. In the image the alleged Moto G5’s screen is covered with protective plastic with the smartphone’s specifications written on it. The Reddit user claims that he has received the Moto G5 from the company for testing purposes. He also confirms that the smartphone features FM Radio, Digital TV and a nano-SIM slot instead of the microSIM slot seen in previous Moto G smartphones. The specifications shown suggest that the handset will feature a 12MP ‘rapid focus’ camera, 3000mAh battery with TurboPower, 5.2-inch full-HD display, 2GHz Octa-core processor, Fingerprint reader+NFC and ‘Motorola Experiences’. The oval-shaped fingerprint sensor is placed below the display, as per the picture.
Previous reports claim that Lenovo could launch the Moto G5 Plus along with the Moto G5 at the upcoming MWC 2017 conference in Barcelona. Recently, alleged images of the smartphones , along with their covers, was shared by a tipster, going by the name @rquadt, on Twitter.
As per the images, both Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus seem to have a similar design. The smartphones are seen featuring a circular enclosure for the camera sensor and the dual-tone LED flash. At the front, there is a speaker grille on top and a physical Home button with fingerprint sensor at the bottom.
As per earlier reports, the Moto G5 Plus will run Android 7.0 Nougat OS and have a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It’ll be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clubbed with a 4GB RAM. It is also expected to include 32GB of internal storage and have microSD card support, along with a 3,080mAh battery. For imaging duties, the smartphone is expected to have a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper.
