Lenovo has unveiled its latest enterprise-focused virtual reality (VR) headset, the ThinkReality VRX, just in time for AWE USA 2023. This all-in-one VR headset offers an immersive and comfortable experience with its slim profile and six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) capabilities.
Powered by the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 processor, it delivers impressive performance and features full-color, high-resolution pass-through capabilities for mixed reality applications. The ThinkReality VRX is designed to meet the needs of businesses and is supported by a comprehensive suite of end-to-end services to ensure successful implementation and faster return on investment (ROI).
Starting at $1,299, the ThinkReality VRX is now available for purchase in select markets worldwide, with availability expected to expand in June 2023. Lenovo also offers enterprise pricing based on deployment volume and provides financing and service models through TruScale’s Device as a Service (DaaS) program, enabling customers to easily adopt and scale XR solutions for their organizations.
To learn more or make a purchase, interested customers can visit the ThinkReality VRX webpage or reach out to their local Lenovo sales representative. Those attending AWE USA 2023 will also have the opportunity to experience a demo of the ThinkReality VRX at Lenovo’s booth (#219) during the event held from May 31 to June 2, 2023, in Santa Clara, US.
The Lenovo ThinkReality VRX, which is only available to businesses, is designed to be the universal VR solution. As a result of the immediacy and fidelity of new digital tools made available by extended reality (XR) technologies, workplaces are becoming essentially time and space independent. XR technologies are more vital than ever for organisations, enabling workers to achieve more, from enhancing efficiency in employee training and virtual collaboration to expanding design and engineering activities in 3D.
“Lenovo’s customers are looking for reliable, flexible, and scalable gateways into the growing Enterprise Metaverse. They need business-class solutions for the new realities of working in virtual environments and hybrid scenarios,” said Vishal Shah, GM of XR and Metaverse, Lenovo. “We engineered the Lenovo ThinkReality VRX to be the VR solution of choice for training and collaborating in immersive 3D because that’s the future of work.”
Designed specifically to cater to the needs of enterprise organizations, the ThinkReality VRX is a virtual reality (VR) headset that combines purpose-built construction and hygienic materials for durability and reliability. It prioritizes enterprise-grade security with a protected supply chain and manufacturing process to ensure data safety.
The ThinkReality VRX incorporates several design enhancements to enhance user comfort during extended VR sessions. Its slim form factor is achieved through innovative pancake optics, while the high-capacity battery is strategically positioned for optimal weight distribution. Additionally, the headset features a unique venting system that effectively dissipates heat away from the wearer’s face, enhancing comfort during prolonged use.
As part of Lenovo’s ThinkReality portfolio of extended reality (XR) solutions, the ThinkReality VRX is complemented by a cloud software platform that facilitates the deployment and management of enterprise applications and content on a global scale. It is also compatible with leading mobile device management (MDM) platforms, offering flexibility and seamless integration. Lenovo’s comprehensive XR solutions further include ThinkReality xR Services, which provide end-to-end, vendor-agnostic services to assist customers throughout their XR journey, from strategic planning to implementation and delivery.
Along with the ThinkReality A3, the most adaptable augmented reality (AR) smart glasses ever created for the enterprise, the ThinkReality VRX is the newest addition to Lenovo’s hardware lineup of commercial XR solutions. Lenovo ThinkReality has the solutions that are required, whether the enterprise is growing the usage of immersive experiences in VR to improve learning and collaboration or leveraging AI-enabled digital overlays on real-world scenarios with AR to transform workflows.
