Q-1 How do you feel about being at Gitex this year?
Hi, thank you! My name is Fissal Oubida, and I’m the General Manager for Lexar in the Middle East, Africa, and India. We’re very happy and excited to be here at Gitex Global. This is actually our fifth time participating at Gitex, and it’s always an incredible experience. Over the past few days, we’ve had a fantastic time showcasing some of our latest innovations, and the response has been amazing.
Q-2 That’s great to hear! Lexar is known for pushing the boundaries of technology. Are there any standout products that you’re particularly excited about showcasing this year?
Absolutely! One of the products we’re really excited about is our metal SD card, which is the only one of its kind in the world. It’s fully sealed, making it waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. In simple terms, let’s say you drop your camera in a swimming pool or the sea—while the camera might be damaged, your data on the memory card will still be safe. This is part of our commitment to ensuring data protection.
Another product we’re highlighting is our SL 700 portable SSD. It’s incredibly durable—you can drop it from the 10th floor, step on it, or even throw it into a toilet and flush it, and it will still keep your data intact. We’re really emphasizing data safety this year, and these products demonstrate that commitment.
Q-3 Wow, that’s impressive! Protecting data seems to be a core theme this year for Lexar. Could you tell us more about any other products you have on display?
Definitely! Another one of our flagship products is the fastest SSD on the planet, offering speeds of up to 12,000 megabytes per second. It comes in capacities ranging from 1 terabyte to 4 terabytes, making it ideal for high-performance tasks like video editing, gaming, and data-intensive work. We’re really proud of this product because it pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of speed and storage.
And there’s even more! Our product line continues to grow, and we’re always working on new innovations to meet the needs of consumers who demand high performance and data protection.
Q-4 It sounds like Lexar is really leading the charge when it comes to data protection and speed. Do you have any specific message for your audience in India? How is Lexar performing in that market?
Yes, India is a very important market for us, and we’ve been doing very well there, especially in the last six months. We’ve participated in various exhibitions across the country, including events in Mumbai and Delhi. In fact, as we speak, there is an exhibition happening in Mumbai called Broadcast India, where our team is showcasing Lexar’s latest products.
The Indian consumer market has matured significantly. Consumers now value quality over price, and this is where Lexar stands out. We’re confident that as more people experience the quality of our products, they’ll continue to support us in India. Our presence in India is growing, and we’re committed to providing the best products and services to our customers there.
