LG Electronics launched a 19.5″ display PC Monitor, Model No 20EN33, and with it entered into a new category in the monitors segment. PC Monitor 20EN33 will enhance the visual experience and provide great value for money to consumers.
The distinctive 19.5 inch (49.53 cm) 20EN33 will replace the existing 18.5″ (46.99cm) E1942C model and will come with better specification and consumer benefits. Also, because of a negligible price difference, Rs. 600 more than E1942C, it would prove to be a great value for money.
According to Sanjoy Bhattacharya, IT Head, LG India, “As the demand for large-screen gadgets is the strongest in Asia, LG is delighted to introduce the 19.5 inch 20EN33 PC Monitor and with it enter into a new category of PC monitors. This is a path breaking move from LG to introduce a new standard in PC monitor size and technology to provide better customer satisfaction. LG hopes to capture 30% market share from the stand-alone monitor market and establish product leadership in the monitor category”.
“This category contributes 50% sales to the over-all PC Monitor segment and now, with the introduction of the 19.5″ 20EN33, LG aims to increase the category presence to 55%. Our strategy is to up sell from 18.5″ screen size to the newly introduced 19.5″ screen size”, added Mr. Bhattacharya.
LG line up will have an array of screen sizes for consumers to choose from. The line-up would have an Entry Segment 15.6″ (39.62 cm) and 19.5″ (49.53 cm), a Mid Segment 20.1″ (51.05 cm) and 22″ (55.88 cm), and a Higher Segment 23″ (58.42 cm) , 24″ ( 60.96 cm), 27″ (68.58 cm) and 29″ (73.66cm).
LG has introduced the 19.5 inch PC monitor after extensive research. The new lineup includes 16EN33, 19EN33, 20EN33, 22EN33, 23EA53, 24EN33, 27EA33, 24EA53, 27EA53 and 29EA93. Keeping the Indian consumer sentiments in mind, all the models’ on-screen displays would come with a language option of Hindi, which is another added advantage of the product. LG has once again proved itself No. 1 in the year 2012 (in the stand-alone Monitor market, data source CMR, Feb 13 release) with a market share of 24.4%
