For the first time, LG has introduced an innovative style of display with its 86.4-cm (34-inch) curved computer monitors. It is designed for the creative professional crowd at IFA.
The features involve 21:9 ultrawide QHD (i.e. 3440 x 1440 pixels) business monitor with an IPS panel, covering almost 99 per cent of sRBC colour space. It has also got 7W stereo speakers with Maxx Audio capability and with an adjustable, ergonomic stand. For the easy connectivity, LG has provided a pair of Thunderbolt 2 ports plus a 4-port USB hub. A gamer version the 34UC97, is an add-on feature with 144Hz.
Ultrawide QHD are catching the beat of popularity as an alternative to full HD and QHD. The price is still kept under wraps, and also when it can be accessed is not yet known. Perhaps, we cannot be sure about till how long the trend might prevail since the price of 4K monitors, which provides 67 per cent more pixels, is also slashing down.
