Korean smartphone huge LG has introduced the fourth variation of its flagship device, the G3. The LG G3 (D858) comes with dual-SIM support and has been priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 39,700). It can be recalled that the G3 is available in India at a price tag of Rs 47,990. There is no official word regarding the global availability of the G3 (D858) smartphone.
According to Eprice, the LG G3 (D858) sports more or less similar stipulation as that of the original G3 smartphone with the familiar 13.97-cm (5.5-inch) QHD AH-IPS display with a 1440×2560 pixels resolution. It is also powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The major difference is that the D858 support for 4G TD-LTE connectivity along with the Dual Active support. This will allow users to make calls or use the Internet concurrently on the same SIM card together. The D858 comes with 32GB of expandable inbuilt storage. It sports a 13MP rear camera that can record videos in 4K resolution. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
Very recently, LG launched the third variant of the G3: the LG G3 A with LTE-A support. The Korea-specific smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 805 SoC, unlike the G3. The company is also looking to launch the G3 Stylus smartphone, which could possibly be the fifth variant of the flagship.
