ITVoice News: All the companies are getting pro-active in developing their more advanced SmartWear, by adding on the maximum possible number of features to the existing editions. After Samsung’s launch of 3G enabled Gear S smartwatch, LG has now geared up to develop 3G-connectivity in its watches for the users, as per the FCC filing.
LG is producing the 3G- enabled SmartWear in order to make a cutting edging product in competition with Samsung’s Gear S. The smartwatch will support the latest version of Android Wear and would enable the user to make calls without having any companion phone support nearby.
The purported name of LG’s upcoming device is LG VC100. It is listed as a “Smart Watch with CDMA” on the company’s site. The existing versions of LG smartwatch in the market, ‘G Watch’ and ‘G Watch R’ are completely dependent on smartphones to fetch notifications.
A source close to mylgphones.com claims that the 3G capable watch was found listed in a database with other Verizon devices. The LG next watch is expected to be revealed during the fourth quarter of 2014. Stay tuned for more updates to come.
