LG to launch new variant of V30 smartphone model at CES 2018
LG took the wraps off its V30 smartphone in September last year. The handset was launched in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet color options. Now, the South Korean tech firm has launched the fifth colour variant of the device called Raspberry Rose.
The company says that it will be showcasing the particular variant of the smartphone at the upcoming CES 2018 conference. The Raspberry Rose colour variant, as expected, is a darker shade of Pink and is being also marketed by the company as an ‘ideal’ Valentine’s Day gift.
“Raspberry Rose, an intense saturated version of red, is a hue quite unlike any previous smartphone color offered by LG or its competitors. Designed for fashion-conscious smartphone users, LG created a unique color that provides outstanding visibility and to makes this V30 an ideal Valentine’s Day gift,” says the firm. Although the price of the smartphone is not mentioned, LG says the handset will be hitting the shelves in its home country, South Korea, followed by Europe and Asia.
The specifications of the smartphone will remain the same as the other LG V30 smartphones. The smartphone sports a 6-inch QHD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) OLED display with ‘FullVision’ 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB UFS 2.0 expandable storage.
On the camera front, the LG V30 comes with 16MP standard +13MP wide-angle primary cameras, which have f/1.6 aperture and f/1.9 aperture respectively. There is a front-facing camera with 5MP wide-angle lens and F/2.2 aperture. Backing the device is a 3300mAh non-removable battery. The V30 also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC and USB Type-C 2.0 under its connectivity section.
The phablet is also IP68 certified, which is the highest rating for water and dust resistant in handsets for now. Samsung Galaxy S7, S8, S8+ and Note 8 too come with IP68 certification.
