LG has announced that it be launching two new Ultrawide monitors , bearing model numbers 38UC99 and 34UC79G, at its pre-IFA 2016 
event. While the 38UC99 is claimed to be the world’s largest 21:9 aspect ratio Ultrawide monitor, the 34UC79G model is said to be the company’s first 21:9 Ultrawide gaming monitor with 144Hz refresh rate.
LG says that the 38UC99 model features an IPS UltraWide Quad HD+ display of 3840×1600 pixel resolution and a colour gamut covering 99% of the sRGB colour space. It’s primarily for visual content creators, data crunchers and other multitasking professionals. The monitor has a USB Type-C port, which not only can be used to transfer content but also charge other devices. It is even possible to customize color settings with the Onscreen Control software and My Display Preset settings.
This model has 10W built-in Bluetooth speakers, along with a one millisecond Motion Blur Reduction feature for an enhanced visual experience.
On the other hand, the 34UC79G 144Hz IPS 21:9 Ultrawide gaming monitor also features the one millisecond Motion Blur Reduction feature, along with refreshed frame rates. It has an IPS display with Black Stabilizer and Dynamic Action Sync functionality. While the Black Stabilizer offers extra clear contrast, “allowing viewers to detect darker objects hidden in hard to see areas”, the Dynamic Action Sync delivers fast-paced gameplay. It also has AMD FreeSync to reduce stuttering and screen tearing.
“The monitor also offers a crosshair option which adds a fixed target to the center of the screen to increase accuracy during FPS games, and a mouse line hook to prevent drag resistance caused by the mouse’s cable,” as per LG.
Other features include tilting, height adjustability and a mouse line hook to reduce tangling of several cords.
