South Korean tech giant LG is all set to launch two smartwtaches based on upcoming Android Wear 2.0 platform. Likely to be called Watch Sport and Watch Sport, the wearables are expected to be launched on February 8. Now, user manuals of the two smartwatches have surfaced online, highlighting their design and features.
According to a report by Droid Life website, the user guides for both LG Watch Sport and Watch Style include information about features such as support for Google Assistant, a rotating crown and a USB-C charging dock. As per the user manual, users can activate Google Assistant by saying ‘OK Google’ or pressing and holding the power button. It’s also possible to take notes, set alarms and do other tasks with the help of Google assistant. Along with this, the guides have details about features of Android Wear 2.0 itself.
LG Watch Sport is expected to feature a 1.38-inch display of 480×480 pixel resolution. It’s likely to come with IP68 certification and have 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. With a 430mAh battery, the smartwatch may come in Titanium and Dark Blue colour options. Connectivity options are expected to include Wi-Fi, GPS, LTE, NFC and Bluetooth. The smartwatch will also come with a heart rate sensor and Android Pay support.
On the other hand, the Watch Style may sport a 1.2-inch display of 360×360 pixel resolution. It’s expected to have 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Having IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, the wearable will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as major connectivity options. LG Watch Style is expected to come in Titanium, Silver and Rose Gold colour options.
According to a recent report by Android Police website, LG Watch Sport is expected to be priced at $349 (around Rs 23,600), while the Watch Style will bear a price tag of $249 (about Rs 16,800).
