LG announced its battery-focussed smartphone X Power 2 in February this year, just ahead of MWC 2017 conference. The company, however, did not reveal when it will start rolling out the device. Now, a report from ET News claims that the LG X Power 2 will hit the shelves in June this year.
The report also says that the company will start selling the smartphones in South Korea first followed by other countries. As for the price, the report says the device to cost around KRW 300,000 or Rs 17,000.
The highlight of the LG X Power 2 is its 4,500mAh battery, which according to the company can run for up to two days without any charge. It is also claimed to play videos for 15 hours on a single stretch. Also, supported is fast charging that can charge the handset by almost 50% in an hour.
The LG X Power 2 sports a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, clubbed with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone also supports microSD card up to 2TB.
In the camera department, the LG X Power 2 comes with 13MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera with soft-light LED flash. The Android 7.0 Nougat based smartphone will be made available in Shiny Gold, Shiny Titan, Black Titan, Shiny Blue and Black Titan colours.
LG few days ago launched its LG G6 flagship smartphone in India. The smartphone comes at a best buy price of Rs 51,990 (MRP Rs 55,000) and is exclusive to Amazon India. The e-commerce website is also offering a cashback of Rs 10,000 to HDFC and SBI card holders for a limited time. Along with this the company is also offering 50% discount on the LG Tone Active+ HBS-A100 Bluetooth headset, which was launched alongside the smartphone.
