LG’s second-generation X-series smartphone, X Power has gone on sale in the UK. The unlocked variant of the handset is priced at GBP 199.98. LG X Power is currently available via a third-party e-commerce website.
LG announced its new X-series of mid-range ‘specialist’ smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2016, back in February this year.
The company claims that every smartphone in the series boasts of a special feature. As the name suggests, the X Power has good battery backup. It is backed by a 4,100mAh battery that claims to offer 27 hours of talk time and up to 925 hours of standby time on 3G. It also promises to deliver up to 19 hours of video playback and up to 185 hours of audio playback. The battery comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support for fast charging.
As far as the specifications go, LG X Power features a 5.3-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. Powering the handset is a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
LG X Power has dual-sim functionality and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It is equipped with a 13MP primary camera and 8MP front camera for selfies. 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are available as connectivity options.
Recently, LG launched its X Cam smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 19,990, the device has a dual rear camera setup comprised of a 13MP module and a 5MP module, which is capable of 120-degree wide angle shooting. There’s also an LED flash.
LG X Cam has a 5.2-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It runsAndroid 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by an octa-core processor. The smartphone offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD cards.
