It’s lights, camera, color at the September Editors’ Lounge starring DaVinci Resolve 10 with a completely redesigned user interface. Editors and post- production professionals will have the opportunity to get an up close look at all the latest features with demonstrations by colorist David Block that will include, dailies and metadata, HSL curve grading, color decision lists, 4K grading and monitoring, plus much more. The event will be held Friday, September 27th at AlphaDogs Post Production 1612 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91506 beginning at 6:30 pm. RSVP is required in order to attend.

Online Editor Scott Freeman (Covert Affairs & Suits) will show how simple it actually is to successfully round trip from Avid Media Composer to DaVinci Resolve and back again to Media Composer. With over 59 round trips to his credit so far, Freeman will share tricks of trade and invaluable shortcuts when it comes to finishing with DaVinci Resolve.
Phillip Hodgetts of Intelligent Assistance will be back in the house and most certain to “take the boring out of post” by demonstrating the latest utility tools for faster and more efficient workflows. A veteran editor by trade, Hodgetts has the solutions for round tripping between FCPX and other applications in an easy and efficient manner.
The Editors’ Lounge offers the opportunity to learn from post-production industry peers and networking with new and old friends. The Lounge opens at 6:30 pm with presentations beginning at 7:00 pm.
