Former Chief of Advertising at NBCUniversal , Linda Yaccarino was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Twitter by Elon Musk last month, and it was decided that she will take up on this role after her term with her previous company was about to get over within a month. She was seen expressing her views strongly about Elon Musk’s vision and replicating the same Musk also feels that Linda is a perfect candidate for their goal to take the financially stuck Twitter ahead of its adversaries.
She will be joining the office of the popular social media app from today itself, and to her aide she has brought with her the experience of former colleague from NBCUniversal, Joe Benarroch who acted as the Executive Vice-President of NBCUniversal prior to his transfer to the bird-logo app. Linda was seen tweeting about the same , where she welcomed her companion employee from her previous organization.
In a memo, Benarroch, as reported by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), has conveyed his excitement about collaborating with the entire team to develop Twitter 2.0. This move of CEOs has come to light after Elon Musk decided that he needs to keeps his focus on his other ventures, Tesla and SpaceX. Elon Musk had a brief stint as Twitter’s CEO. The company was seen losing its optimum social credibility after the medium wasn’t handled properly, a lot of advertisers also decided to take away their funding from the app as the usership of the texting app was simultaneously going down the drain.

Benarroch wrote in the memo seen by WSJ (Wall Street Journal).
Yaccarino expressed her readiness to collaborate with Musk and millions of Twitter users to build Twitter 2.0 and transform the business. Last month, she took to Twitter to share her enthusiasm, stating, “I’ve long been inspired by your vision to create a brighter future. I’m excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together.” Yaccarino emphasized the importance of user feedback and assured her commitment to the platform’s future, adding, “Let’s keep the conversation going and build Twitter 2.0 together.”
Musk eagerly anticipates working with Yaccarino to shape the platform into an all-encompassing app called X, similar to China’s WeChat. With her extensive experience overseeing a team of approximately 2,000 employees at NBC Universal, Yaccarino successfully drove over $100 billion in ad sales and established partnerships with prominent companies such as Apple, Snapchat, BuzzFeed, Twitter, and YouTube.
