Logitech’s sub-brand Ultimate Ears has announced a new app feature for its UE BOOM app – PartyUp. As per the company, it would allow users to connect more than 50 Ultimate Ears speakers.
The feature is available for iOS and Android users starting today and works with UE BOOM, UE BOOM 2, sold separately.
It comes as a free update to the existing UE BOOM apps which allow you to see, select, drag and drop available speakers. It works by allowing you to scan Ultimate Ears.
The app also comes with additional features, such as Siri and Google Now voice integrations and a Tap Controls feature.
In September, the company launched a portable waterproof Bluetooth speaker priced at Rs 8,495 in India. Christened UE Roll 2, it is available in Volcano, Atmosphere, Sugarplum, and Habanero colour options.
The Bluetooth-enabled speaker claims to offer 15% more sound and an increased wireless range of 100-feet with the same sleek, disc shape design of the original UE Roll. It also boasts of an IPX7 rating, which means that the device can stay up to 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes.
The speaker offers 9 hours of battery backup. A UE Roll 2 companion app enables users to set alarm, and double up sound by pairing it with another Ultimate Ears speaker.
