Reliance Retail’s Lyf brand has introduced its new F1 Plus smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 13,099, the Lyf F1 Plus is now available to buy in India via e-commerce website Snapdeal. Separately, a report claims that Lyf Water 9 has been launched in India priced at Rs. 8,499. Unfortunately, the company is yet to officially announce either smartphone.
Much like other Lyf-branded smartphones, the Lyf F1 Plus supports 4G LTE bands in India. The handset also supports VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility. The dual-SIM (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM) Lyf F1 Plus sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Amoled display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and supports 4G connectivity only on a single SIM card slot at a time.
The Lyf F1 Plus smartphone is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 32GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). It sports a 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel fixed-focus front camera.
Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB, apart from 4G (LTE Cat. 4 support). The handset weighs 152 grams and it is backed by a 3200mAh battery.
The alleged Lyf Water 9, on the other hand, features a 5.5-inch full-HD display and also comes with 2.5D DragonTrail glass on top. It is said to be powered by octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The handset will come with expandable storage via microSD card. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. It is said to run Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The launch was first reported by PhoneRadar.
