Prateek: How was the company’s performance in the year 2021?
Mandeep Arora: The performance of UBON in 2021 was almost fine in a pandemic situation, especially since people only have to work from home. Most orders were placed online and some were placed offline.
Prateek: What product was the highlight of the year 2021?
Mandeep Arora: Demand for wireless headphones and neckbands had increased as people started to work from home. So a range of headphones and Neckbands was launched which sold like hotcakes.
Prateek: What will be the company’s strategies for the forthcoming year?
Mandeep Arora: We are investing in research and newer technologies so that our consumers get the best experience using UBON products. Additionally, we are thankful that the Government of India is supporting the Make in India products initiative with relaxation in laws thus reducing the dependency on imports. The pandemic has set the path for coming years and we will formulate strategies based on the learnings from the past two years. Of course, we are flexible and we vision for the next 5 years. As we are currently cruising our way through the pandemic era keeping the omicron virus variant challenge in mind, we are focusing more on competitive advantages, as we can incorporate technology into our products and services.
