Here’s the interview snippet from the interaction with Mr. Bhaskar Ganguli, Director, Marketing and Sales, Mass Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Saumya: Firstly, tell us about the journey of Mass Software solutions from the year it was
established and till now?
Bhaskar: From what initially began from a single room of an apartment in 2001, Mass Software Solutions has come a long way to carve its own niche in the market at the behest of its zeal to provide top-class solutions to clients. Having begun with a primary focus on web design and website development, our firm, over the years, has not only grown in strength but also diversified its offerings to aid more businesses.
Our growth trajectory saw us shifting our focus from mere web design to high-end consulting
and development solutions that has now become our stronghold. On the back of our experience
and expertise in the industry, we enabled global brands in identifying their operational
challenges before transforming and automating their business processes. This, in turn, paved
the way for MSS to foray into digital consultancy and digital transformation solutions.
The hardwork and meticulous efforts of our ever-persistent workforce saw us moving to a
sprawling office with modern infrastructure to support our expanding client base in 2016. Since
then, it has only been onwards and upwards for MSS which continues to cater to our growing
list of global customers through innovative solutions as their digital transformation partner.
Saumya: What were the challenges you faced and missions when you started this company?
Bhaskar: Akin to other firms, MSS, too, has had its fair share of ups and downs. The lack of funds meant that we had to bootstrap every inch of our way to eventually reach where we are today as an organization. While commencing operations for the first time is always challenging, the struggle to maintain growth and keep up with the quality is a serious task. And, MSS, despite its initial struggles, managed to stay on top of the game with perseverance and dedication towards its clients at the forefront.
A company is only as good as the people working for it. That why recruiting the right talent and subsequently retaining good resources is so critical for the consistent growth of an organization. We at MSS have not nurtured budding talent but also take necessary measures to recognize their efforts which helped us in overcoming the challenges related to the workforce. Like others, we, too, witnessed obstacles in sales pipelines alongside the fierce competition from low-cost freelancers. But, as we catered to more customers, MSS rose in stature as a brand and gained the trust of its clients. This further allowed us to continue delivering on our vision of providing top class web application solutions to our ever-growing list of global clientele.
Saumya: How do you manage your company as it is growing worldwide?
Bhaskar: A key foundation is the acquisition of a thorough understanding of targeted markets,
competition, current local market trends and requirements to initiate and drive growth. Working with a number of global brands has made it easier for us to understand local market trends and expectations. That laid the foundation for our foray into the international market. Cultural differences, country based regulations, customs, require that a company demonstrate flexibility in the policies and procedures implemented as part of an international operation. We always put the client first and that has helped us in moving forward.
Saumya: What is the USP of your company?
Bhaskar: MSS is a globally-recognized digital transformation company that has made a name for itself when it comes to offering web, mobile, and digital consultancy solutions to small businesses, agencies and enterprises.
Our USP lies in our services and deliveries of the solution that we offer to our clients. We hear
them with an open mind and take the front seat while defining a solution to them. Our excellent
business analysts who spend time with clients to understand their respective businesses,
identify bottlenecks and challenges before suggesting solutions to the problem areas. Keeping
competitiveness in our mind, we deliver the project on time and within the allocated budgets of
our clients. We believe the more we sweat in defining the solution the less we falter with the
solution.
Saumya: How did you contribute to the digital transformation of MSMEs in India and abroad?
Bhaskar: We have worked with several customers across the globe. We have helped companies remove their operational blocks, fine-tune business flows and processes, increase efficiency, reduce resource and cost wastage, and grow exponentially. Our solutions have had a significant impact on businesses and their results. We have provided them with a clear road map of how they would benefit from solutions and how easily they can recover costs.
We have also empowered the senior management with powerful tools which help them make
the right decision at the right time. We give them insight into the business and KPIs to help them monitor the business& health in real-time. For instance, our solutions have helped a leading school-lunch provider in Ireland to process thousands of orders in a single day. The smooth mobile app for ordering and robust back-end for the company has helped them attract new clients at a breakneck pace.
We built a student loan mobile app solution for a business in India helped to become a leading
loan platform in India. We also built the digital web presence of the prestigious real estate arm
of the Apeejay Group. That helped them to showcase their services to clients globally and
increase their global outreach.
Saumya: What are your future targets and growth plans for Mass Software Solutions?
Bhaskar: We want to become one of the top IT consultancy and development companies in India. Our plan is to scale Mass Software Solutions as a leading global enterprise solutions company. With off-shore and on-shore delivery centres, we want to build solutions for enterprise clients and make a global impact.
