The new Band allows users to monitor their exercise regime and fitness. From October 30, it will be available in the market and will be priced at $249.
Unlike its predecessor, the new Band has a curved display. It uses the Corning Gorilla glass 3 and to to track elevation, has a barometer sensor. Microsoft made an entry in the wearable technology market a year ago.
A continuous optical heart rate monitor, onboard GPS, calories burned tracker, deep exercise, sleep quality, floors climbed recorder, are some of the features.
It has an ability to reschedule missed workouts and have two-day battery life.
It is pertinent to mention here that in July Microsoft launched Windows 10, as a part of it’s strategy to win a bigger share of the market for smartphones and tablets, presently dominated by Apple Inc and Samsung, South Korea’s Electronics giant.
