Micromax has expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of Canvas 5 Lite Q462. The smartphone has 4G VoLTE support and is priced at Rs 6,499. With Slate Grey and Brown as colour options, the device is exclusively available on Snapdeal.
In terms of specifications, the Canvas 5 Lite Q462 has a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. It runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and comes with dual-SIM functionality.
The device sports a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor paired with a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable further using a microSD card. It also sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper for selfies.
The smartphone which is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS as connectivity options.
Recently, Micromax launched its new range of Canvas Smart LED TVs. The LED TVs come in three screen sizes – 30-inch, 40-inch, and 50-inch, priced at Rs 19,999, Rs 29,999, and Rs 42,999 respectively.
While the 50-inch TV has a Full HD (1920×1080 pixel) display, the 30-inch and 40-inch models are HD ready. A ‘Quick Boot’ feature which, as per the company, helps the LEDs boot up to 80% faster than competing products is also included.
Other features include Miracast, M! Connect, Home-share, wireless smartphone control, and a built-in smart OS supporting Android apps. It integrates Wi-Fi support as well.
Micromax claimed that it had a 9% market share in the TV segment till March 2016 and aims to end this fiscal at 12% of the pie. The company also aims to provide a stimulus to the growing Smart LED TV segment, which contributes up to 8% to the overall LED TV sales in the country.
