Last year, Micromax launched its Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2 smartphones in India. And now, it seems that the domestic manufacturer is all geared up to launch the next handset in the line-up – Vdeo 3. The 4G VoLTE capable handset has been listed on the company’s official website. However, nothing has been mentioned regarding the price and availability of the smartphone. Like other devices in the series, Vdeo 3 comes pre-loaded with Google’s Allo and Duo apps. Along with this, the handset comes with a Reliance Jio 4G SIM with free calling and data benefits till March 31, 2017. The listing can be considered more of a teaser since it doesn’t reveal all specifications of the device. It highlights the smartphone as having a 5-inch FWVGA display of 480×854 pixel resolution, further protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. A while back, Micromax launched its Canvas Spark 4G smartphone. Priced at Rs 4,999, it is available in White Champagne colour and can be purchased from Snapdeal.
As far as specifications go, Micromax Canvas Spark 4G features a 5-inch FWVGA display of 480×854 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor paired with 1GB of RAM.
The handset has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, along with support for microSD cards of up to 32GB in size. There’s a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing snapper for selfies. The dual-SIM handset houses a 2,000mAh battery and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as major connectivity options.
