Adding to its range of YU series, Indian handset manufacturer Micromax has launched a product line. Micromax’s sub-brand YU which has earlier introduced affordable high-end smartphones like Yureka and Yuphoria has now unveiled a new portable photo printer. Dubbed as YUPIX, the printer has an image quality (IQ) score of 175.
The newly launched device converts your memories into hard copies in just 60 seconds. It produces 5.33cm x 8.63cm (2.1 x 3.4-inch) printed photos which can be preserved for a lifetime. With the connectivity of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi/NFC/Wi-Fi Direct, the printer can be attached with Android as well as iOS devices.
The printer supporting 16.7million colours, has a resolution of 291dpi. Backed by a 750mAh battery, it weighs 273gms and measures 7.5 x 15.26 x 2.38 cm (2.99 x 6.01 x 0.94-inches.) With an integration of Dye Sublimation technology, the printer is said to include a cartridge that does not require a cleaning roll. It can print 10 continuous copies with cartridge comprising Ink Ribbon & Photo Paper. The copies are water and finger print proof, according to the company.
Users can also intstall an application from Google Play Store which would enable them to connect their handsets through Wi-Fi or NFC wirelessly. Additionally, it lets users to edit and print photographs in a resolution of 1280 x 1920pixels (2.5Mpx) without the need of computer.
