Yu Televentures, a subsidiary of Micromax, on Saturday announced the availability details of the YuFit fitness tracking band. Priced at Rs. 999, the YuFit fitness band will be going on sale starting July 29 in its first flash sale via Amazon.in.
The registrations for the Micromax’s YuFit first flash sale via Amazon will begin Tuesday at 12pm IST. The company as of now has not revealed the number of YuFit bands that will be up for grabs in the first sale day via the company’s exclusive online partner.
Initially announced in May, the YuFit fitness band can be connected to smartphones via Bluetooth and is compatible with both iPhone and Android smartphones. It is compatible with companion apps YuFit (on Google Play) and HealthifyMe (On Google Play and App Store). Micromax has announced that the first 1,000 customers will get free assistance from dedicated fitness coaches. Yu stresses that its tie-up with HealthifyMe will offer users fitness trainers, nutritionists, and dieticians through specific packages designed for YuFit.
The YuFit band along with the companion app offers features such as step tracking, sleep tracking, distance walked, and calories burnt. The app also lets users track how many calories they have consumed, with its database also including Indian snacks and dishes. The companion app allows users to set ‘Daily Goals’ and even offers altering plan option with My Plan feature. There is a ‘Do not disturb’ slot on the app for the band.
The YuFit will be competing against the likes of the Xiaomi Mi Band, which is also available at the same price. However, YuFit’s biggest advantage is that it sports an OLED display which is mounted on the band and notifies users of incoming calls, mails, and messages.
