Microsoft has launched the Lumia 540 dual SIM phone in New Delhi on Thursday at Rs 10,199. the pre-booking will start from May 18.
The phone has a better display, bigger battery, improved camera and a higher price. However, unlike its predecessor Lumia 535, the 540 doesn’t come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is more prone to scratches.
Lumia 540 is likely to come with a 13cm (5-inch) HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The phone has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD. Lumia 540 relies on a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor. Powered by a 2200mAh battery, it determines to give a longer battery life than Lumia 535.
The smartphone’s connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS. The device features an 8MP rear camera (1/4 inch sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 28mm focal length) with auto-focus and LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera to capture sefies. It can also shoot videos at 848x480p resolution with both cameras and comes pre-loaded with applications like Bing vision, creative studio, Lumia camera, Lumia Selfie.
