Microsoft Surface Pro 4 To Launch In India On January 7
Microsoft’s newest tablet Surface Pro 4 is all set for its India debut. The company has sent invites for an event on January 7 where it is expected to launch the tablet. “Start fresh on a brand new Surface,” reads the invite.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella too had announced the company’s plans to launch the Surface Pro tablet in India in January during a Microsoft event earlier this year. This will be Microsoft’s first Surface tablet launch in India.
Announced in October this year along with Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL smartphones and Surface Book laptop, the Surface Pro 4 features a 12.3-inch screen with 267 ppi. It runs on 6th-generation Intel Core processor and has 16GB of RAM, 1TB storage packs a G5 chipset, reportedly designed by Microsoft.
There’s also a new Surface pen with all-year battery life and interchangeable tips.
Surface Pro 4 is 50% faster than Apple’s MacBook Air, Panos Panay, the corporate vice president for Surface Computing at Microsoft, had said at the launch.
The new Surface Pro 4 is a larger but thinner and lighter version of the Surface Pro 3 tablet.
Surface Pro 4 is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB SSD storage options with varying range of memory. The starting model runs on Intel Core m3 processor with 128GB internal storage and 4GB RAM.
Though there are no details available on the tablet’s India pricing, PC-Tablet, an Indian technology blogs, recently claimed to have got confirmation on the tablet’s India pricing. Here’s how Surface Pro 4 will be priced in India according to the blog:
