The Windows 10 ready Lumia 540 by Microsoft is expected to be available in India from early May.
Likes its successor Lumia 530, the Lumia 540 too comes with dual SIM support enabling users to create unique profiles for each SIM. – there seems to be a lot of improvements from the Lumia 530 released last year to the lumia 540.
Lumia 540 comes with a 5-inch display screen and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
For those who are worried about their mobile phone storage space, the device comes with an 8 GB of internal memory which is expandable upto 128 GB via a microSD card slot.
Also, an additional 15 GB OneDrive cloud storage space is provided to its users with an extra 15 GB if auto-upload to OneDrive is activated.
The primary camera of the Lumia 540 is of 8 MP capactiy with LED flash making it possible for the photo fanatics to capture even during the low light.
The device has a 5 MP wide angle front facing camera for better video calls using its integrated Skype app.Connectivity options include USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS and 3G.
However, the 2200 mAh battery that comes with the device is a pretty decent one which we expect to provide a decent battery life for regular usage. The Lumia 540 Dual Sim which may be priced somewhere below Rs 10,000 will be available in white, cyan, orange and matte black colours.
