Fossil-owned Misfit has announced its first touch screen smart watch called Vapour at CES 2017. The Misfit Vapour flaunts a stainless steel body and will come in Jet Black and Rose Gold colour variants. The company has priced the smart watch at $199 and will be available for purchase later this year.
The smart watch features a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display with 326ppi pixel density. The wearable is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and has a traditional watch band.
The watch can track fitness, sleep, heart rate and active times automatically. It also comes with accelerometer, altimeter, gyroscope, optical heart rate sensor, GPS, and microphone. It offers 4GB of internal storage and has a standalone music player. In terms of connectivity the device offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The company claims that the device is swim-proof and water resistant up to 50 meters. It comes equipped with magnetic charging using charging cradle and promises two days of battery backup.
Earlier this week, Intel and the sports brand New Balance too showcased their smartwatch at the event. The New Balance RunIQ smartwatch comes with GPS and incorporates a heart rate sensor. It’s claimed to have a battery life of 24 hours on a single charge with continuous GPS use. The smartwatch also enables users to store and sync music downloaded from Google Play Music.
RunIQ is powered by an Intel Atom Z34XX processor and has a 1.39-inch Amoled display. The device offers 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It’s priced at $299.99 and will go on sale from February 1.
