MobiKwik, India’s number one Mobile Wallet with 10 Million users, has appointed Virender Bisht as its Chief Technology Officer. Earlier as VP Technology at MakeMyTrip.com, Virender developed a track record of delivering strong results in the Payments and Mobile domains. He comes with over 14 years of diverse experience in creating world-class software products at MakeMyTrip, Educomp, Studyplaces.com, TribalFusion, Exponential, and TCS. At MobiKwik, Virender will oversee all aspects of product research and development, user experience design and tech infrastructure.

Virender is a hands-on techie with experience across B2C and eCommerce companies in Mobile Apps, Online Payments, Content Management and Enterprise Software. He has successfully architected scalable software solutions for e-commerce and enterprise audience. In the industry, he is widely respected for his strategic agility and nimble footedness. His other forte is his ability to manage and build high-performing and motivated teams. Virender has a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.
Virender’s appointment comes as a part of MobiKwik’s steady wave of expansion. The 90 people Wallet company plans to make other strategic appointments in the near future. It has announced plans to hire a Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Business Development & Partnerships and Head of Products over the next 2-3 months. MobiKwik has been witnessing unprecedented growth with an increasing user base and partnerships with leaders in all e-commerce categories. The key appointments in the organization are designed to contribute significantly to MobiKwik’s growth story.
