A couple of months ago, Israel was able to weather a pro Palestine cyber attack on its government websites.
Benjamin Netanyahu has accused that Iran along with its allies in Lebanon and Palestine has been carrying cyber attacks on Israeli computer systems. The non-stop attacks have now been carried out for more than a month on the vital national systems including banking, water and power. However, he gave no further details of the attacks. He also added that the number of attacks are gradually increasing with each passing day and is being carried out by Iran in direct associations with Hamas and Hezbollah, the nation’s proxies.
This news was revealed at Tel Aviv, the country’s commercial hub where a conference was being held. The reasons that the nationals come to know of a very few of the attacks is because the national security has been able to thwart them.
In 2011, Netanyahu had established the National Cyber Directorate that would be responsible for overlooking disruptions in Israel’s computer systems. The United States and Israel have been now under a series of attacks. However, according to Iran any such development is meant to promote peaceful and healthy activities.
