Lenovo-owned Motorola is likely to announce its next-generation Moto G smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2017 tradeshow in Barcelona. According to a report in Android Headlines, the company may launch Moto G5 and G5 Plus in India in March. The report also claims that both the smartphones will launch in India in March, post the MWC event. As per reports, Moto G5 Plus is said to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top. The smartphone is likely to be powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB RAM. It will offer 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further by installing a microSD card. The handset is expected to pack a 16MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The smartphone will be backed by a 3,080 mAh battery and will run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. It is said to have a rectangular home button which will also double up as a fingerprint sensor. Moto G5 Plus is also likely to be priced higher than the Moto G5.
Moto G5 is expected come with a fingerprint sensor and 16GB internal storage. It will sport a 13MP rear camera and same 5MP camera as Moto G5 Plus. Last month, Motorola launched its first all metal smartphone called Moto M. The device is priced at Rs 15,999 and is exclusively available on Flipkart. Moto M smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 CPU, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. There is also a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The inbuilt storage can be expanded using a microSD card of up to 256GB. It has a 16MP rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8MP selfie-shooter on board. The smartphone is backed by a 3,050mAh battery with 10W ‘Rapid Charger’ support.
