Moto G6 Plus specifications and G6 series codenames leaked
Motorola is set to expand its G series of smartphone line up with three new smartphones – the Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. Several reports have revealed the codenames – Ashley, Blaine and Teller — of the smartphones. Renowned tipster Evan Blass took to Twitter and revealed the codenames of the smartphones. The Moto G6 Play has the codename Ashley, the Moto G6 is called the Blaine whereas the G6 Plus is codenamed Teller. What’s notable is that Motorola didn’t launch the Play variant for its fifth-generation of Moto G smartphones.
The latest addition to the G series’ sixth generation smartphone has also appeared on a benchmarking website, Geekbench. The smartphone is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo and will sport 3GB RAM. The Moto G6 Play will feature a 5.7-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels. The processor on the smartphone is expected to be Snapdragon 430 SoC. It’s a bit surprising to see a slightly older processor on this smartphone. Going by the specifications, the Moto G6 Play is expected to be the budget offering of the G series of smartphones. Motorola, meanwhile is geared up to unveil all three devices at the Mobile World Congress 2018. Both Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus are expected to feature 18:9 aspect ratio displays.
The Moto G6 Plus is expected to feature a 5.93-inch full HD+ display. The smartphone could be powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC processor along with 6GB of RAM. It will sport a dual rear camera set up along with a 3300mAH battery. The phone is expected to be launched in three colour variants — Deep Indigo (black), Nimbus (silver) and Dark Lake (dark teal).There could be two variants of the Moto G6 with different storage and RAM capacities. The Moto G6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC and could feature 3GB/4GB RAM coupled with 32GB/64GB storage. The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.7-inch full HD+ display. It will be backed by a 3000mAH battery and have a dual rear camera set up.
