After the company’s customer care department claimed that the company will update their flagship device the Moto X to the recently unveil Android L, Motorola’s VP of Product Management, Punit Soni has gone ahead and confirmed the same. While global search engine huge Google’s highly predictable Android L platform is still under developer preview, Motorola’s decision to upgrade its flagship with the same is highly welcoming one from users of the much-loved device.
Punit Soni was recently asked the expected question on Google+, “Moto X is still going to get Android L (5.0) right?” Without actually giving away a set time frame, Soni confirmed that the Moto X will indeed receive the Android L update whenever it arrives, which is most likely to happen by the end of this year. Meanwhile, Motorola India has already begin rolling the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for its Moto E, Moto G and Moto X smartphones India. This latest version of Android makes available an extra layer of security for browsing web content on the phone.
The Moto X features an 11.9-cm (4.7-inch) AMOLED HD display, X8 computing platform with 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has 2 GB RAM and 10 MP rear camera.
