Motorola’s Nexus 6-Like Droid Phablet Expected In Mid-2015

Motorola's Nexus 6A couple of months ago Nexus 6 phablet was announced by Motorola in collaboration with Google. Now Motorola is owned by Lenovo. Now the company is working on a Nexus 6 like phablet which has 4GB RAM exclusively. Sources who are familiar to the development of Droid Forums, said that the Droid phablet will have the similar structure like Nexus 6.

It’s henceproved the company is not done with releasing hot Android devices. The phablet is expected to be sold as a Droid-branded device. According to the publication, the yet-to-be-announced Motorola Droid handset will be based on the model of Nexus 6, means it will sport the similar 14.97-cm (5.9-inch) QHD display but the internal structure will be better in the phablet with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB of RAM “to showcase the 64-bit feature of that CPU.”

Moreover, Droid phablet should also pack a huge 4,000 mAh battery. The new Droid phablet is expected to release by mid-2015. The report says further there is a chance that it might end up being a non-Nexus branded Motorola alternative and not a Droid smartphone. The new report goes in line with Motorola’s leaked smartphone roadmap for 2014 which suggested that eight new devices are undergoing development.

Moto S without Nexus branding is also expected in the process, though this project may be scrapped if Moto X successor doesn’t perform well. In that case, 13.21-cm (5.2-inch) Moto X Play will be launched as Moto S.
