Sonata Software, a global IT consulting and software services provider, announced today the appointment of Ms. Radhika Rajan as Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board of the company, with effect from 12 Aug 2014. Ms. Radhika Rajan currently also serves as Executive Vice President of DSP Investments, the Family Office of Hemendra Kothari, Chairman of DSP-Blackrock and which is one of the largest Family Offices in India.
Ms. Radhika Rajan brings with her a wealth of rich experience as a financial professional, spanning multiple roles and markets. She started her career in Bank of America in India, where she managed the Indian Treasury operations and then moved on to roles as a global macro proprietary trader at leading financial institutions Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan), Itochu, UBS, Bank of America and Bank of Montreal. Her recent career included roles as one of the early employees of IT Services firm Mphasis as its New York based Executive Vice-President and then as President TCG India Star Fund and – both roles involving start-up experiences that scaled to success. Radhika’s educational qualifications include an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a M.Sc. (Physics) from IIT Bombay.

Sonata Software had recently announced its first quarter results for FY 15 at its board meeting, with sustained strong growth trends in its IT Services revenue and profit growth. Ms. Rajan was also inducted into the Board at this meeting.
