MS Teams will soon be releasing an Artificial Intelligence-based noise reduction feature that will automatically eliminate undesirable background noise while meetings are taking place. This will be an update to the present noise suppression feature where users will now have control over how to suppress noise. There will be the latest high setting user can choose from on MS Teams that will reduce more background noise. It will be releasing in November.
On Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this Artificial Intelligence-based real-time noise-suppressing feature is presently listed as ‘in development’. It works by checking a person’s audio feed on the platform and using specially trained unfathomable neutral networks to remove the noise and recollect just the speech signal.

This feature will be accessible for desktop globally, also no further details have been rolled out as of now.
Zoom too has an option called ‘suppress background noise’ in the noise cancellation feature. Users can change the settings as per their comfort level to high or low. Google Meet also, has the same feature that is available for Android as well as iOS users. It filters out background interruptions like dogs barking, clicking of a pen, typing, closing a door, or noises from the neighboring construction site.
There are also more further features for MS Teams. Presenters will soon be able to customize how content highlights for meeting participants, letting for a more dynamic viewing experience in content. They will be able to overlap their video and content or change their content box to the video’s screen corner. This feature is desired to release in December. In the same month, users will be getting another feature that will let them allow others to know they are unavailable by preparing ‘Out of Office.’ Their inaccessibility status will be seen every time someone reaches out through chat.
