Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a 13-cm (5-inch) HD screen with IPS touchscreen. Powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor, the handset packs 3120 mAh battery. The device has a 13MP f2.0 rear camera on the phone with dual-tone LED flash and a 5MP f1.8 front shooter. With 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, the handset will be available in five colours. Priced at Rs. 12,999, Flipkart is likely to be the only retailer carrying the phone in the country. The phone is expected to reach Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in May.
Xiaomi had previously released a tweet with the teaser image of the invite for the event. Apparently, Lei Jun, CEO and founder, Bin Lin, president and co-founder and Hugo Barra, VP Xiaomi Global attended the much-awaited event which took place in New Delhi.
The tech giant is trying to expand its market in India as it happens to be the first Xiaomi phone to see its initial release outside of China. Latest reports confirm that the firm is also planning to join hands with retail chain ‘The Mobile Store’ to sell its wide range of smartphones.
