National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced results for the Secondary (Class 10th) and Senior Secondary (Class 12th) exams conducted by NIOS in October 2013 on the official NIOS website. The October-November 2013 examination began from 7th October 2013 and ended on 15th November 2013. Around 15 exam dates were available for Class 10th and 23 for Class 12th.
Aspirants for both Secondary and Senior Secondary are to clear a minimum of 5 subjects (1 language compulsory) to certify and Maximum 9 subjects (2 languages) may be attempted. Those who clear required subjects will receive their Mark-Sheet, Provisional Certificate and Migration/Transfer Certificate by post from their registered Regional Center. Candidates not having fulfilled the minimum criteria will receive only mark sheet.
Applications are available for Class 10th and Class 12th candidates wanting to give exam in April 2014. The per subject examination fee is Rs. 150/- per Subject with Rs. 70 extra per subject that includes practical. Dates for submission of applications are from 1st December 2013 to 31st December 2013 without late fees and from 1st January 2014 to 10th January 2014 with late fee of Rs. 50/- per subject.

Course material and examinations are administered by NIOS through their various regional centers. Earlier known as National Open School, NIOS is recognized and accepted nation-wide.
