NComputing Adjudged the ‘Greenest’ Technology at the Express IT 2014 Awards

– Wins the Gold in the ‘Green Technology Awards’ category

NComputing, the leader in client virtualisation solutions, was adjudged the ‘greenest’ technology at the Express IT Awards 2014. With over 300 Ncomputingcompanies contesting this year, NComputing won the Gold in the ‘Green Technology Awards’ category for its commitment to environment sustainability through technological innovation. Zoho Corporation and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd both won the Silver award in the same category. The other nominees included companies such as IBM India, HTC Global Services, SAP Labs and SwaaS Systems.

The winners were chosen following a stringent selection process led by a panel of globally recognised innovators, corporate heads, academicians and thought-leaders from the IT industry comprising Som Mittal, former President, NASSCOM, Rajan Anandan, VP and MD, Google India, T.V. Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education, Professor Sadagopan, Director, IIIT- Bangalore and R Chandrasekhar, President NASSCOM.

The awards discover, recognise and reward IT initiatives that have enabled businesses to go beyond the ordinary, and also have had a positive impact on the community at large. For years, these awards have served as a benchmark for excellence across IT/ITes sector.

NComputing was adjudged the winner in the ‘Green Technology Awards’ category for providing one of the most novel, green and affordable Desktop Virtualisation solutions that lower desktop computing costs, improve manageability, and reduce both energy consumption and eWaste. By deploying NComputing, organisations can reduce CO2 emission, electricity/power backup costs and eWaste by up to 90% by putting their IT infrastructure to optimum use by repurposing their existing computing assets.
